I hold the esteemed title of Fellow at the Institute of Chartered Accountants and my journey began with qualification at PKF in Sheffield. I subsequently embarked on a rich career path that encompassed pivotal roles in Grant Thornton's Sheffield and Bristol tax departments.
My decision to specialise in tax planning upon qualification has culminated in extensive expertise spanning all facets of corporate tax work. This includes but is not limited to advising on acquisitions, disposals, reorganizations, valuations and reconstructions. Moreover, I have offered my counsel to numerous not-for-profit organizations, and my portfolio boasts numerous share valuation assignments, ranging from employee incentive schemes to stamp duty returns..
In my personal life, I am happily married and a proud parent to three grown children and numerious grandchildren. When I'm not immersed in the intricacies of tax planning, you'll find me enthusiastically engaged in bridge playing, although my results may suggest a streak of perpetual bad luck. Additionally, when the sun graces us with its presence, I'm always up for an occasional game of golf, but only in the congenial company of fellow "28 handicappers."
